Ellery

Kym Ellery, successful market director of Australian Russh magazine, launched her label Ellery on the catwalk in SS07 and caught the eye of the fashion insiders as one to watch. Two seasons on she is one of Australia’s hottest young designers, and her profile keeps growing.

Her current range is inspired by the musical ‘Hair’ mixed with a structured silhouette. Whimsical 70’s inspired prints in soft fabrics are paired with PVC skirts; short slimline dresses are given a lift out of the ordinary with surreal bell sleeves. This collection is definitive enough to be exciting, and beautiful enough to be wearable.

Kathryn Wilson

Any shoe fan will be able to tell you of their favorite Kathryn Wilson pair. In a market with a dire need of individual, modern, affordable shoes, Kathryn Wilson showed up in 2003 with her first range of beautifully crafted leather shoes.  While working as a knitwear designer for Caroline Sills, her talent for shoe designing was reconised and gained the full support of the Caroline Sills' label. Her collections quickly became incredibly covetable, and her talent keeps growing. Voted best shoe designer metro 08.

twentysevennames

twentysevennames (formally love-lies-bleeding) is the collaboration of designers Anjali Stewart and Rachel Easting. Established 18 months ago, twentysevennames is a original new label that is gaining a great reputation for their street-cum-fashion designs. Stocked nationwide, they were awarded the Deutz Fashion Design Ambassador Award in 2006, and showed at ANZFW 07.

Their latest collection‚ smoke and mirrors cites Elaine from Seinfeld as an influence, and combines textures and fabrics in a fresh ascetic typical of this great new label.

CHIP CHOP

Established in 2006, CHIP CHOP! is a young label that is making a sizeable impression in the Australian fashion market. Designed by Hannah Chipkin, the label is known for its quirky and unique designs. Featuring printed cotton tees and canvas totes and denim bags this label is wearable, funky and up to the minute.

This label is stocked in boutiques across Australia and New Zealand, and is fast growing a large following.

Two white Buddies

The Two White buddies range is the latest t-shirt label to hit the New Zealand fashion market. Launched in SS 07, the label immediately caught the attention of the fashion set, who raced out to buy their tees. Two White Buddies design clever tees, with thoughtful subtle designs.

For winter 08 they have produced a dance inspired range, which includes oversized tees and singlets, all printed with their signature thoughtful designs.
